One of my objectives as I keep moving forward is to educate community members about the vital work being done by charities and leaders who dedicate their lives to supporting people in need. Through my writings I hope to inspire caring people to get involved and make a difference for a cause that they believe in. These objectives are directly aligned with the mission of 100+ Women Who Care Valley of the Sun (100WWC).
Kim Tarnopolski is the Chief Community Builder for 100WWC, who says that everything she does is driven by her desire to bring communities, individuals and causes together to make an impact. I have learned from personal experience that she and the local groups of 100WWC she directs are doing just that in a big way.
Back in 2015, a lady I had interviewed as a prospective leader of Arizona Helping Hands (AHH) nominated AHH to receive funding from the organization’s members. I learned that on a quarterly basis, members gather to discuss local causes with which they feel an affinity.
At each giving circle, three charities are chosen from those nominated by members, presentations about the work they do are made to the group, and one charity receives accumulated dollars raised via $100 contributions per member. AHH was the recipient of funding from the Scottsdale group in 2015, thanks to a heartfelt presentation by Michelle.
The members of 100WWC are succeeding in every facet of community engagement that my blog, Giving Back and Moving Forward, seeks to achieve. They are expanding a network of caring individuals to learn about the important work being taken on throughout the Valley, dedicating resources to causes they believe in and making an impact – indeed making our world a better place.
I applaud Kim and the team from 100WWC for bringing this platform to the Valley. They now oversee groups in Scottsdale, Ahwatukee and the East Valley, and have raised and donated more than $740,000 to causes such as Family Promise, Saving Amy, Forever Loved Pet Sanctuary and dozens more. Her leadership has been instrumental in the successes the organization has achieved. Kim tells me that her personal goal is to exceed $1million in total giving within the next couple of years, an objective I am sure she will successfully reach, given her drive and passion.
Thank you to all of the members of 100WWC. Your commitment of a small amount of time, acquired talents and passion, combined with the treasure you donate, makes a difference for so many, and is an important step toward making our community and our world a better place.

I am a relatively new member of this wonderful organization (East valley Chapter) and am proud to be a part of a group who care so much. Not only am I helping to make a difference beyond what I could do on my own as an individual, but in the process am being introduced to amazing organizations I did not know existed! I was introduced to 100+ Women by a member who identified my charity as a possible recipient. I am so grateful to her and for the opportunity to join forces with others to make a bigger impact on those in need.
